Role Overview :

As an Applied R&D Specialist, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions for next-generation network technologies. You will collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers and researchers to design, develop, and test innovative software components and systems. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing network performance, scalability, and reliability, ultimately impacting the user experience for millions of Nokia customers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable software components using C++ for network infrastructure.

- Implement and test network protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP and REST APIs to ensure seamless communication between network elements.

- Develop and deploy microservices using Docker and Kubernetes to enable agile and efficient software delivery.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and functionalities into existing systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner to maintain network stability and performance.

- Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality and reliability.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in C++11/C++14, including strong understanding of STL and OOPS concepts.

- Proven ability to develop and debug software on Linux platforms.

- Solid understanding of TCP/UDP/IP networking protocols and REST API design principles.

- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

- Ability to design and implement microservice architectures.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 5 to 12 years of relevant experience.
