About the Role :


We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our software engineering team. This role is ideal for a strong technologist who can balance hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, building scalable systems, and

fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment.


Key Responsibilities :


- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding them on technical and career development.


- Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable engineering solutions.


- Drive the design and implementation of microservices and distributed systems that are production-ready and highly available.


- Contribute to coding, architecture reviews, and high-level technical decision-making.


- Oversee deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.


- Encourage best practices in engineering, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and security.


- Manage priorities, resources, and timelines to deliver high-quality software solutions.


- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and accountability across the engineering team.


What You Should Bring :


- 9+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 2- 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.


- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.


- Proven experience in designing and delivering microservices at scale.


- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Ruby, Python, or Golang in production-grade systems.


- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native technologies.


- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.


- Ability to thrive in a startup environment, adapting to evolving priorities and wearing multiple hats.


Good to Have (Bonus Skills) :


- Experience developing large-scale deployment or workflow orchestration systems.


- Knowledge of security, certificates, and encryption standards, with familiarity in frameworks like TUF or Uptane.
