Location : Bangalore / Remote

Responsible for building and maintaining both the frontend and backend components of Shopify-based e-commerce storefronts. This role involves working with Shopify's ecosystem (including Liquid templates, Shopify APIs, and apps).

Key Responsibilities :

Frontend :

- Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (Vanilla/ES6 or frameworks like React).

- Ensure responsive, high-performance UI/UX design for cross-device compatibility.

- Work with Shopify's theme architecture, including sections, templates, and metafields.

- Implement interactive UI elements and animations where needed.

- Optimize front-end performance for speed and SEO.

Backend :

- Integrate third-party apps and APIs using REST and GraphQL.

- Develop custom Shopify apps using Node.js, React, Next.js, or Ruby on Rails.

- Build private or public Shopify apps with features like admin extensions, webhook handling, and secure API communication.

- Manage backend services such as order sync, inventory sync, CRM/ERP integrations.

Required Skills :

Core :

- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating.

- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

- Experience with Shopify APIs (Storefront/Admin).

- Experience with custom app development (Node.js/Express or Ruby on Rails).

Preferred :

- Familiarity with Headless Shopify implementations using Next.js/React.

- Experience with GraphQL, especially Shopify's Storefront API.

- Working knowledge of Shopify Hydrogen (for full-stack custom storefronts).

- Understanding of webhooks, OAuth, and Shopify App Bridge.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 2 - 5+ years of experience working with Shopify or e-commerce platforms.

- Strong portfolio of past Shopify stores or apps.
