Nevaeh Technology - Python Manager/Lead

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Python Manager/ Python Lead. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Python development experience, deep understanding of production support and proven leadership skills. This role combines technical problem-solving with team leadership to ensure high availability, performance and continuous improvement of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the Python Application development team, providing technical guidance and mentorship

- Act as the primary escalation point for complex application and production issues

- Review code, support deployments and ensure best practices in coding, logging, and error handling

- Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues and incidents in a timely manner

- Develop, maintain and enhance Python-based applications and support tools

- Ensure adherence to SLAs, incident management processes and root cause analysis (RCA) practices

- Collaborate with development, QA and business teams to improve application stability and reliability

- Write and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and routine operational tasks.

- Perform analysis using Linux command-line tools and application logs.

- Drive proactive monitoring, alerting and automation to reduce recurring issues

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support procedures

- Participate in on-call rotations and oversee incident response when required

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development

- Strong experience in production troubleshooting and incident management

- Proven experience leading or mentoring a technical support or development team

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and backend systems

- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and basic system-level troubleshooting

- Familiarity with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and performance tuning

- Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (bash/sh). Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS,

ports, connectivity).

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
