Job Title : Senior Network Engineer
Experience Required :
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise network engineering and operations
Role Overview :
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and securing enterprise network infrastructure across global locations.
The role requires strong hands-on expertise in firewall technologies, campus and wireless networking, and SD WAN solutions, with a focus on high availability, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD WAN architectures across multiple sites
- Manage and administer FortiGate firewalls, including policy management, VPNs (site-to-site and remote access), IPS, web filtering, and security best practices
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Aruba Wireless solutions (controllers, access points, and wireless security)
- Design and operate Aruba Switches and Nexus switches for campus and data center environments, including VLANs, STP, LACP, redundancy, and QoS
- Implement and support SD WAN solutions to ensure optimal application performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency
- Perform network troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex incidents across L2/L3/L4 layers
- Collaborate with security, server, cloud, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and secure connectivity
- Lead network changes, migrations, and upgrades with minimal business impact
- Create and maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support audits, compliance requirements, and vulnerability remediation from a network perspective
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where required
Technical Skills (Mandatory) :
- Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate Firewalls
- In-depth knowledge of Aruba Wireless (Controllers, APs, RF design, troubleshooting)
- Solid experience with Aruba Switches (Access/Core switching)
- Proven experience with SD WAN design and operations
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP preferred), switching, NAT, VPNs, and network security principles
Technical Skills (Good to Have / Added Advantage) :
- Experience with Cisco ISE (Network Access Control, 802.1X, authentication, authorization, profiling)
- Exposure to multi-vendor environments and global enterprise networks
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management
Soft Skills :
