Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Neo4j Developer to design, develop, and optimize graph-based data solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Neo4j, Cypher, and graph data modeling, and can work closely with backend engineers, data scientists, and architects to build scalable, high-performance graph applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement graph data models using Neo4j

- Develop and optimize Cypher queries for performance and scalability

- Build and maintain Neo4j-based APIs and services

- Integrate Neo4j with backend systems (Java, Python, Node.js, etc.)

- Perform query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization

- Handle data ingestion, migration, and transformation into Neo4j

- Implement security, access control, and backup strategies

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support

- Document graph models, queries, and system architecture

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong experience with Neo4j (Enterprise or Community Edition)

- Proficiency in Cypher Query Language

- Solid understanding of graph theory and graph data modeling

- Experience with backend languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js

- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture

- Knowledge of indexing, constraints, and query optimization in Neo4j

- Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines

- Experience with version control systems (Git)

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with Neo4j Aura or cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Knowledge of Graph Data Science (GDS) library

- Experience with Spring Boot, FastAPI, or similar frameworks

- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes

- Exposure to big data technologies (Kafka, Spark)

- Understanding of security models and RBAC in Neo4j

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
