Job Description

Job Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Firmware Verification Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of reliable, high-quality medical hearing devices.

The role focuses on firmware verification, test automation, embedded system debugging, and collaboration with global engineering teams to deliver safe and compliant products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute firmware verification plans, test strategies, and test cases based on system requirements.

- Create manual, semi-automated, and automated tests for functional, regression, stress, and performance testing.

- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Python and C.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).

- Debug firmware and system-level issues using embedded hardware tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

- Support requirement analysis, defect investigation, design reviews, and verification activities.

- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, software, and cross-functional teams to drive product quality.

- Mentor engineers and contribute to process improvements and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.

- 8+ years of relevant experience in firmware verification/embedded systems (or equivalent experience with advanced degrees).

- Strong programming skills in Python and C; MATLAB experience required.

- Hands-on experience with embedded firmware testing and hardware debugging.

- Experience with automation frameworks, regression testing, and CI/CD environments.

- Knowledge of RTOS, low-level hardware/software integration, and embedded communication protocols.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in medical device development and regulated environments (FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485).

- Experience with DSP, audio processing, BLE/wireless systems, or hearing technology.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and global engineering collaboration.
