AI/ML Team Lead

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Team Lead to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions across Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Generative AI, and structured data analytics.

The role will involve technical leadership, AI solution architecture, hands-on development, cloud deployment, MLOps, and mentoring of AI engineers.

You will work closely with global product, engineering, and cloud teams to build scalable AI solutions for the PropTech domain.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and development of LLM-based applications and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

- Architect and implement enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions across NLP, Computer Vision, and structured/tabular data.

- Design multi-modal AI solutions combining text, image, and tabular data.

- Lead development of traditional ML solutions including classification, regression, clustering, feature engineering, and model optimization.

- Architect and deploy AI services on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), serverless APIs, and cloud-native services.

- Define and implement MLOps best practices for model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

- Lead AI initiatives involving Vision AI, OCR, document intelligence, and layout analysis.

- Provide technical direction on the selection and implementation of LLMs, transformers, embeddings, vector databases, and AI frameworks.

- Conduct technical design and code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.

- Mentor and guide junior/mid-level AI developers and support their technical growth.

- Drive AI experimentation, R&D initiatives, innovation, and potential patent-worthy solutions.

- Collaborate with global Product, Engineering, Cloud, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

- Ensure AI solutions meet requirements around performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 7 - 10 years of experience in AI/ML development, with strong hands-on experience in NLP, Generative AI, Computer Vision, or traditional ML.

- Strong expertise in Python and software engineering principles.

- Strong experience with LLMs such as OpenAI, HuggingFace, Mistral, or equivalent.

- Hands-on experience with LangChain, Transformers, embeddings, and RAG architectures.

- Strong understanding of traditional ML algorithms including classification, regression, and clustering.

- Experience with feature engineering, model optimization, model evaluation, and ML pipelines.

- Strong experience in API development and microservices architecture.

- Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML solutions on Azure or other major cloud platforms.

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes/AKS, serverless APIs, and cloud-native architectures.

- Experience with MLOps, model versioning, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.

- Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or equivalent.

- Experience in Computer Vision, OCR, Document Intelligence, or layout analysis is preferred.

- Experience leading or mentoring AI/ML engineers.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience in PropTech, real estate, financial analytics, or document-heavy domains.

- Exposure to multi-modal AI and AI agents.

- Experience contributing to AI research, innovation, or patents.
