Product Manager
Product : Bugasura (bugasura.io)
Location : Basavanagudi, Bengaluru - in-office, 5 days a week (not remote or hybrid)
Experience : 5 - 10 years in product management
A growing layer of native AI agents runs inside the product - triaging bugs, generating test cases, and acting on project context on the users behalf. We are actively building out a plugin marketplace and deepening our GenAI capabilities. We are a product-led team, which means the work is as much about sharp positioning and hard prioritisation calls as it is about shipping features.
The Role :
We are looking for a Product Manager who can own significant surface area of Bugasura end to end - from problem discovery through to adoption and retention metrics. You will work directly with engineering, QA, design, presales, marketing, and leadership stakeholders to decide what we build, why we build it, and how we know it worked. This is a hands-on role. You will be writing specs, wireframing flows yourself, working through requirements with internal stakeholders, digging through usage data, and using the product yourself daily. It is not a role where you manage a roadmap from a distance.
What You'll Do :
- Own the roadmap for a core area of Bugasura - such as test management, or platform and integrations - and be able to defend the prioritisation behind it.
- Run discovery through internal stakeholders (presales, support, marketing, and Moolyas own QA teams), interrogating second-hand feedback rather than taking it at face value, and tracing requests back to the underlying problem.
- Produce your own wireframes and end-to-end flows - including empty, error, and permission states - instead of describing screens in prose and waiting for design.
- Write PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering can build from without repeated clarification, and make decisions quickly enough to keep sprints unblocked.
- Work with QA to define what done means for each release, and own the go/no-go call on shipping.
- Coordinate launches with marketing, presales, and customer success, including release notes, documentation, and enablement material.
- Define success metrics before you build, instrument the product to measure them, and act honestly on what the data says - including sunsetting features that do not earn their place.
- Keep a working view of the competitive landscape (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, qTest, and the AI-native entrants) and feed it into roadmap and positioning.
What We're Looking For :
Required :
- 5 - 10 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning a B2B SaaS product or a substantial module within one.
- Demonstrated ownership of a product area end to end - you can walk us through something you shipped, why you shipped it, and what happened after.
- Strong written communication. PRDs, decision documents, and stakeholder updates are a large part of this job.
- Ability to wireframe independently. You should be fluent in at least one tool - Figma, Balsamiq, Whimsical, Excalidraw, or equivalent - and able to go from a rough problem statement to a clickable or annotated flow without design support. We will ask to see examples.
- A working sense of UX fundamentals : information hierarchy, progressive disclosure, form design, and how to reduce steps in a workflow without hiding what users need.
- Comfort designing for non-deterministic systems - interfaces where the output varies, may be wrong, and needs a review path.
- Comfort working closely with engineering teams : you can read an API contract, reason about technical trade-offs, and hold your own in an architecture discussion without pretending to be an engineer.
- Data fluency - you can define metrics, query or interrogate product analytics, and separate signal from noise.
- Experience running discovery and building conviction through internal stakeholders - presales, support, and delivery teams - while still holding a clear, independent view of the users problem.
- A track record of saying no to good ideas in favour of better ones.
Nice to Have :
- Domain familiarity with software testing, QA, or developer tooling - you understand what a regression suite is, why flaky tests matter, and what a QA leads week actually looks like.
- Experience shipping AI/LLM-powered features in production, with a realistic view of where they break.
- Exposure to developer-facing platform work : public APIs, webhooks, integrations, or plugin ecosystems.
- Prior experience in a startup or lean product team, without a full support function around you.
What Will Make You Successful Here :
- You use the product. The strongest PMs on this team file bugs in Bugasura, run test cases in Bugasura, and feel the friction before it gets reported.
- You are sceptical about AI in a useful way. Enthusiastic enough to push the product forward, grounded enough to notice when the output is confidently wrong.
- You are decisive with incomplete information. Perfect clarity rarely arrives; the job is to make a good call and set up a way to learn from it.
- You are comfortable being wrong in public. We would rather revisit a decision quickly than defend it slowly.
- You care about the craft. Small details in a bug reporting flow compound into whether a QA team adopts the tool or abandons it in week two.
What We Offer :
- Direct ownership of a product used by QA and engineering teams globally, with roadmap impact from your first month.
- Short decision chains - direct access to senior stakeholders, with minimal layers in between.
- A team that takes testing seriously; Moolya has spent over a decade in quality engineering.
- Competitive compensation, health insurance, and standard benefits.
Selection Process :
After an introductory call, you will be given an assignment : a Bugasura problem statement where you define the problem, propose a solution, and produce wireframes for the core flow, along with a short write-up of your assumptions and trade-offs. Based on the outcome of the assignment, shortlisted candidates will be taken through the next rounds of interviews.
