About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Moodle Technical Architect Consultant to lead the architectural design, customization, and optimization of our Moodle-based learning management system.

This consultant will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance Moodle solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and Design : Define the technical architecture of the Moodle platform, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.

- Customization & Integration : Oversee and guide custom plugin development, third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, proctoring, analytics tools), and UI/UX enhancements.

- Performance Optimization : Lead performance tuning, load testing, and database optimization to ensure platform responsiveness and uptime.

- Security Compliance : Ensure Moodle setup aligns with industry-standard security protocols (GDPR, FERPA, etc.)

- Cloud & DevOps : Provide expertise on cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines for Moodle deployments.

- Team Collaboration : Work closely with developers, instructional designers, QA, and project managers to implement technical requirements effectively.

- Documentation : Produce high-quality architectural documentation, best practice guidelines, and code review protocols.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Moodle Architect / Lead Developer / Consultant.

- Deep expertise in Moodle core architecture, PHP, MySQL, and modular plugin development.

- Strong experience with Moodle 4.x and LTI integrations.

- Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), and single sign-on systems (OAuth, SAML, LDAP).

- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments (preferably AWS or GCP).

- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and responsive design in Moodle.

- Experience in multi-tenant LMS deployments or enterprise-scale Moodle architecture is a strong plus.
