Job Summary :

We are seeking a creative and technically proficient WordPress Designer and Developer who possesses a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and basic digital marketing principles.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development, design, maintenance, and optimization of our WordPress websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, highly functional, and optimized for search engine performance and business growth.

Key Responsibilities :

- Website Creation : Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance WordPress websites from concept to launch, using best practices for both front-end and back-end.

- Theme & Plugin Management : Customise and develop WordPress themes and plugins to achieve project-specific functionality and design goals.

- Front-End Implementation : Translate design mockups (e.g., in Figma, Photoshop) into clean, semantic, and efficient code using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.

- Back-End Functionality : Manage and maintain the website's back-end, including databases (MySQL), server-side logic (PHP), and API integrations.

- Technical Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, bugs, and performance problems quickly and efficiently.

- Performance Optimization : Optimize website speed, scalability, and security through caching, image optimization, and code minification.

- Technical SEO : Implement and monitor technical SEO best practices, including site architecture, sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup, and site speed optimization.

- On-Page SEO : Work with the content team to ensure all website content is optimized for target keywords, including proper use of headers, meta descriptions, image alt tags, and internal linking.

- UX/CRO : Analyse website user experience (UX) and implement conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies to improve site navigation, call-to-actions, and overall user flow.

- Analytics & Reporting : Set up, monitor, and report on website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO/marketing platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, Web Designer, or similar role.

- Expert proficiency in front-end technologies : HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Strong working knowledge of PHP and MySQL for custom WordPress development.

- Expertise in the WordPress platform, including custom theme/plugin development, and familiarity with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg).

- Solid understanding of Technical, On-Page, and Off-Page SEO principles and best practices.

- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and basic use of SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs).

- Proficiency in creating responsive and cross-browser compatible websites.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Excellent problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills.
