MongoDB Developer - NoSQL/Python

Job Title : Remote MongoDB Developer.

Location : Remote / Hybrid (Preferred regions: EMEA, USA, UK, Japan).

Your Role :

We are hiring a skilled MongoDB Developer to join our remote engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing MongoDB-based database systems that support high-volume, mission-critical applications.

Youll work closely with backend and DevOps teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement MongoDB databases that are scalable and high-performing.

- Develop efficient queries, indexes, and aggregation pipelines.

- Maintain and optimize data models for new and existing applications.

- Collaborate with developers to integrate MongoDB into backend services and APIs.

- Monitor database performance, usage, and security.

- Ensure database backup, replication, and disaster recovery procedures.

- Participate in schema design, migration strategies, and documentation.

Core Skills Required :

- Strong experience with MongoDB and document-oriented data modeling.

- Proficiency in writing optimized queries and aggregation pipelines.

- Familiarity with MongoDB tools (Compass, Atlas, Ops Manager).

- Experience integrating MongoDB with backend code (Node.js, Python, etc.

- Knowledge of indexing, sharding, and replication techniques.

- Understanding of JSON, BSON, and NoSQL database principles.

- Experience in version control systems like Git.

Skills We Value :

- Exposure to cloud-based MongoDB (MongoDB Atlas).

- Familiarity with other NoSQL or relational databases (Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.

- Experience in schema migrations and performance tuning.

- Working knowledge of microservices or serverless architectures.

- Ability to interpret complex datasets and support analytics workflows.
