Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior Network & Security Engineer to spearhead our infrastructure initiatives. In this role, you will balance high-level technical architecture with tactical team management, ensuring our global network remains resilient, secure, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Infrastructure & Design :

- Architect & Implement : Design and deploy high-availability solutions including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and Cloud integrations.

- Lifecycle Management : Oversee the full lifecycle (config, installation, and maintenance) of Routers, SD WAN, Switches, and APs.

- Zero Trust Advocacy : Enforce strict network segmentation and robust security controls across all layers.

2. Team Leadership & Mentorship :

- Direct Management : Lead a team of engineers, manage resource allocation, and set performance KPIs.

- Growth : Provide technical mentorship and professional development for junior staff.

- Process Excellence : Standardize incident response and change management workflows.

3. Network Operations & Security :

- Uptime & Performance : Utilize advanced monitoring tools to ensure 99.9% uptime.

- Final Escalation : Act as the ultimate point of contact for complex outages and performance bottlenecks.

- Threat Defence : Manage VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, and firewall policies (Checkpoint/Fortinet/Sophos).

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management :

- Collaboration : Align network roadmaps with IT, Infrastructure, and Development teams.

- Innovation : Lead POCs for new technologies and manage relationships with ISPs and hardware vendors.

Required Technical Profile :

- Core Protocols : Deep mastery of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, and IPSEC.

- Services : Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and 802.11 wireless standards.

- Security Stack : Hands-on experience with Checkpoint, Fortinet, or Sophos; familiarity with SIEM and SOC operations.

- Certifications : CCNP (Enterprise/Security) is highly preferred. CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are foundational.

- Experience : 4 - 8 years in network engineering; 1 - 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.

Desired Skills (The "Plus" Factors) :

- Automation : Experience with Python, Ansible, or Terraform.

- Crisis Communication : Staying calm and providing clear, non-technical updates to stakeholders during a "Severity 1" network outage.

- Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) : Experience implementing "Never Trust, Always Verify" models using Identity Services (like Cisco ISE or Forescout or Zscaler).

- SD-WAN Security : Integrating security directly into SD-WAN fabrics (SASE - Secure Access Service Edge).

- Communication : Ability to translate complex technical jargon for senior leadership.
