Mechispike - Windchill Developer - Java

Key Responsibilities :

- Work extensively on Windchill PDMLink, ProjectLink, and Change Management modules.

- Implement and manage workflows, lifecycle templates, and object initialization rules within Windchill.

- Perform customization and extension of Windchill functionalities using Java, JSP, and Info-Engine.

- Develop and support integration between Windchill and CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.).

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windchill configuration, customization, data, and performance.

- Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, and deployment activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Ensure compliance with best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines during development and implementation.

- Provide technical documentation, user guides, and post-deployment support as needed.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in PTC Windchill (PDMLink, ProjectLink).

- Expertise in Windchill Customization and Workflow Development.

- Strong programming experience with Java, JSP, and Info-Engine.

- Good understanding of PDM concepts, Change Management, and Lifecycle Management.

- Familiarity with Windchill APIs, WC Customization Toolkit, and integration frameworks.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience integrating Windchill with CAD and ERP systems.

- Knowledge of Windchill Bulk Migrator, Data Loading utilities, and Windchill Query Builder (QML).

- Familiarity with Windchill 12.x or higher versions.

- Exposure to REST/SOAP APIs, XML, and Web Services.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.

- PTC Windchill Certification preferred.
