MDM Data Architect / MDM Solution Architect

Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced MDM Data Architect / MDM Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in designing and building MDM data models from the ground up for a custom MDM solution. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in MDM architecture, data modeling, master-data governance, golden records, match/merge, survivorship, source-system analysis, and source-to-target mapping. Since the MDM solution is being custom-built, the candidate must be capable of designing the underlying MDM data model and architecture rather than relying primarily on configuration of an existing MDM platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design scalable MDM data models based on business and data requirements.

- Define entities, attributes, relationships, hierarchies, identifiers, and reference data.

- Design golden-record, match/merge, survivorship, and source-of-truth strategies.

- Analyze source systems and define source-to-target mappings into the MDM model.

- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

- Prepare detailed technical architecture and design documentation.

- Translate business requirements into MDM architecture and underlying data structures.

- Work closely with business, data, integration, and engineering teams to drive end-to-end MDM solution design.

- Guide implementation of the designed model using Informatica MDM, Reltio, Profisee, or similar platforms, where applicable.

- Define and defend MDM design decisions based on business requirements and data characteristics.

- Support data governance, data quality, integration, and master-data management initiatives.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong experience as an MDM / Data / Solution Architect.

- Proven hands-on experience designing and building MDM data models from the ground up.

- Experience working with complex enterprise data and multiple source systems.

- Ability to explain and defend MDM architecture and data-modeling decisions.

- Strong experience with source-system analysis and source-to-target mapping.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with one or more of the following MDM platforms :

1. Informatica MDM

2. Reltio

4. Stibo

5. Ataccama

6. Similar MDM technologies

- Experience across master-data domains such as :

1. Customer

2. Product

3. Supplier

4. Organization

5. Location

6. Other enterprise master-data domains

- Additional experience in data quality, data integration, enterprise data governance, and source-system analysis will be preferred.

Important Requirement :

This is a custom-built MDM solution. Therefore, candidates must have strong hands-on experience in designing and building the underlying MDM data model and architecture, not just configuring an existing MDM platform. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to platform configuration without strong data-model design and architecture experience may not be suitable for this role.
