Job Description

Mareana is looking for a motivated Associate Consultant with a keen interest in data engineering, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to the development of Mareana's AI-powered products in supply chain, manufacturing, and unstructured data domains.

The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge in databases, data wrangling, and application development, and a strong desire to build expertise in modern data architectures and technologies such as graph databases, NoSQL, and cloud platforms.

What You'll Do

- Learn and assist in developing multi-tiered data-driven solutions using modern tools and methodologies.

- Support the team in designing and building optimized data architectures that promote performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and stakeholders to build and enhance Mareana's products.

- Participate in data integration, transformation, and pipeline development under senior guidance.

- Gain exposure to end-to-end software development life cycle and agile project methodologies.

- Contribute ideas, learn best practices, and actively seek opportunities to improve Mareana's data products and platforms.

- Receive mentorship from experienced professionals and grow into a data engineering or consulting role.

Requirements

- 0-1 year of experience in data engineering, software development, or related fields (internships/projects count).

- Basic understanding of SQL and RDBMS concepts.

- Familiarity with Python, ETL workflows, or data processing tools such as Pandas or Scala (academic or project exposure acceptable).

- Interest in Graph Databases (e.g., Neo4j) and basic knowledge of data modelling or query languages (SQL/Cypher).

- Awareness of cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) and version control tools like Git.

- Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical teams.
