Job Summary :

Mantra Softech is seeking an experienced and innovation-driven Lead Computer Vision to drive the development of next-generation biometric, image processing, and AI-powered vision solutions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong research mindset, have contributed to patents, publications, or innovative technology development, and demonstrate deep expertise in Computer Vision, Image Processing, and C++-based software development.

This role requires a technically hands-on leader who can architect solutions, mentor engineering teams, and contribute to the company's intellectual property (IP) and product innovation roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced Computer Vision and Image Processing algorithms.

- Research and develop innovative solutions in biometrics, face recognition, liveness detection, OCR, document verification, object detection, image enhancement, and related domains.

- Drive technology innovation and contribute to patent filings, research publications, and intellectual property development.

- Build proof-of-concepts (POCs) and transform research outcomes into scalable commercial products.

- Design high-performance applications using C++ and optimize algorithms for real-time processing.

- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Embedded Systems, and AI teams to define technical roadmaps.

- Evaluate emerging technologies, research papers, and industry trends to strengthen the company's technology leadership.

- Mentor and guide engineers on computer vision architecture, algorithm design, and best development practices.

- Participate in technical reviews, architecture discussions, and strategic R&D initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators :

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Pattern Recognition.

- Advanced programming experience in C++.

- Strong understanding of OpenCV and image processing libraries.

- Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent.

- Knowledge of object detection, image segmentation, feature extraction, tracking, OCR, facial recognition, and biometric technologies.

- Strong understanding of algorithm design, optimization, and performance tuning.

- Experience working on Linux-based development environments.

- Understanding of software architecture, multithreading, and performance-critical applications.

Research & Innovation :

- Proven track record of patent filings, granted patents, research publications, or significant innovative product contributions.

- Ability to read, evaluate, and implement concepts from academic research papers.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Experience in technology incubation, product innovation, or R&D environments will be highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Electronics, or a related field.

- Experience in biometric technologies, identity management, security systems, surveillance, or embedded vision applications.

- Contributions to patents, research journals, IEEE publications, or international conferences.

- Experience leading technical teams and driving end-to-end product development.
