Role Overview :
As a Team Manager AI & Data Science, you will play a key role in enabling the company's growth strategy by embedding data insights into end-to-end business solutions. You will translate analytical outcomes into actionable business strategies, supporting informed decisions across rural lending portfolios and help strengthen its position as a high-performing NBFC.
Desired Expertise :
We seek professionals with deep understanding of Machine Learning and Econometrics related to Micro Loans, Rural Business Loans, Rural Loan Against Property, and Gold Loans. Familiarity with JLG (Joint Liability Group) lending, Microfinance Analytics, and knowledge about estimation of Market Potential and Decision under Information Asymmetry are essential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and operationalize empirical models for automated credit underwriting, complemented by randomized controlled experiments to rigorously validate and refine model-driven credit decisions.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to design innovative lending solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the unsecured and rural lending businesses in alignment with LTFs overall vision and growth objectives.
- Collaborate with product teams to design and refine micro loan offerings (e.g., Gold, Business, and Rural Loans) tailored to target segments.
- Work with collection teams to develop data-driven models that optimize recovery strategies and reduce collection costs.
- Work closely with IT, model validation, and engineering teams to ensure compliant model deployment with optimal system latency and operational efficiency.
- Lead the development of advanced modeling methodologies, algorithms, and diagnostic frameworks to evaluate model robustness, sensitivity, and stability.
- Stay updated on emerging industry trends, best practices, and regulatory developments influencing rural and micro business lending.
Desired Skills and Experience :
1. Familiarity with advanced statistical and machine learning techniques such as Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Stochastic and Bayesian Models, Tree-based Ensemble Methods, Cluster Analysis, Neural Networks, Non-parametric Methods, and Multivariate Statistics will be an added advantage.
2. 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Python and SQL (preferably on Google Big Query Server).
3. Prior experience in the BFSI sector - especially with Indian Banks and NBFCs - will be a significant advantage.
4. Strong knowledge of Microfinance Credit Bureau data and its applications in credit analytics.
5. Expertise in statistics, with proficiency in Python and related analytical tools.
6. Ability to work with unstructured data, extract insights, and generate actionable business outcomes using Python-based analytical frameworks.
7. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Big Query, and Vertex AI is highly desirable.
8. Demonstrated capability to translate business requirements into data-mining objectives, develop analytical solutions, and deliver measurable business impact.
9. Strong aptitude for learning, with creative thinking to address complex real-world business challenges.
