Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Lead for RACF Engineering and Security Conversion to spearhead complex mainframe security initiatives within our enterprise infrastructure. In this role, you will act as the primary architect for security migrations, overseeing the transition of legacy security protocols to robust, modern RACF frameworks. We will collaborate closely with cross-functional infrastructure teams, global stakeholders, and compliance officers to ensure that our mainframe environment remains secure, scalable, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and execute large-scale security conversion projects, migrating legacy security structures to RACF to enhance system protection and regulatory compliance.

- Lead the engineering of complex RACF security policies, ensuring that access controls are optimized for performance and aligned with enterprise security standards.

- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of mainframe security projects, coordinating with internal teams to minimize downtime and ensure seamless integration with existing business workflows.

- Troubleshoot and resolve high-level security incidents and JCL-related bottlenecks to maintain the stability and security posture of the mainframe environment.

- Mentor junior security engineers and provide technical guidance on ACF2 to RACF migration strategies to foster team growth and technical excellence.

- Partner with audit and risk management departments to validate security configurations, ensuring all implementations meet stringent industry security benchmarks.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing complex RACF security environments, with a deep understanding of mainframe security architecture and best practices.

- Proven ability to lead large-scale security conversions, including hands-on experience in transitioning from ACF2 administration to RACF-based security models.

- Advanced proficiency in JCL and mainframe utilities, enabling the automation and optimization of security processes across diverse infrastructure setups.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical security requirements into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.

- Strong analytical mindset to identify security vulnerabilities and implement proactive mitigation strategies in a high-pressure, enterprise-grade environment.

- Ability to thrive in a distributed work environment, maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration across Bangalore, Pune, or remote locations.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by 12 - 20 years of progressive experience in mainframe security engineering.
