ROLE OVERVIEW :

Business Analysts bridge business stakeholders and engineering teams combining deep requirements analysis expertise with the ability to leverage Claude AI and GenAI tools to accelerate documentation, process mapping, user story creation, and delivery workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Work in cross-functional Agile squads to elicit, analyse, and communicate business requirements clearly to engineering teams.

- Lead requirements gathering sessions; translate business needs into functional specifications (JIRA stories, BRDs, traceability matrices).

- Use Claude AI to accelerate BA workflows : requirements drafting, process mapping, user story generation, meeting summarisation, and stakeholder communication.

- Apply prompt engineering techniques to extract, validate, and refine requirements using AI generating user stories, gap analyses, edge cases, and acceptance criteria with AI assistance.

- Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, QE, and product teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives and user needs.

- Manage and groom the product backlog alongside Product Owners and Delivery/Project Managers.

TECHNICAL SKILLS :

- 6 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst preferably in insurance or financial services domain with proven expertise in requirements elicitation and documentation : BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices.

- Proficient in using Claude AI for BA productivity : requirements analysis, user story drafting, documentation generation, and stakeholder presentation creation.

- Prompt engineering : crafting precise prompts for gap analysis, use-case generation, test scenario creation, and process optimisation suggestions.

- AI-accelerated documentation : leveraging Claude to produce first-draft BRDs, process maps, meeting minutes, and sprint stories at speed.

- Familiarity with other AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini) and ability to select the right tool for the task.

- Understanding of GenAI capabilities and limitations relevant to business analysis and digital delivery.

- Tools : JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Mural, Figma.

- Agile / Scrum : backlog management, sprint planning, definition of ready/done.
