Job Description :

We are looking for a Linux Validation Engineer with strong experience in platform validation, system debugging, and Linux-based testing on x86 platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating hardware and software functionality across embedded and server platforms while ensuring product quality and stability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform Linux platform validation on x86-based systems.

- Execute manual and automated test cases for hardware and software components.

- Debug issues across drivers, operating systems, and applications.

- Validate platform functionality across multiple subsystems.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts for validation activities.

- Collaborate with development, firmware, and hardware teams to identify and resolve defects.

- Create test plans, test cases, and validation reports.

- Participate in pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities.

Required Skills :

- 3 to 6 years of experience in Linux Validation or System Validation.

- Strong understanding of x86 platforms (Intel/AMD Client and Server platforms).

- Experience with Linux operating systems such as :

i. Ubuntu

ii. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

iii. Yocto Linux

- Exposure to Chrome OS is an added advantage.

- Strong system debugging skills involving:

i. Device Drivers

ii. Operating Systems

iii. Applications

- Experience using debugging and analysis tools such as:

i. WinDbg

ii. WPA

iii. TraceView

iv. Intel Debug Tools

- Validation Domain Experience:

i. Experience in validating one or more of the following areas :

1. Graphics

2. Power Management

3. IPU

4. Sensors

5. Wi-Fi

6. Bluetooth

7. USB

8. Thunderbolt (TBT)

Automation Skills :

i. Python Scripting

ii. Perl Scripting

Preferred Skills :

- Pre-Silicon Validation

- Post-Silicon Validation

- System Integration Testing

- Hardware-Software Interaction Testing

- Test Case Development

- Defect Tracking and Root Cause Analysis

Soft Skills :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Qualification :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
