Job Description :
We are looking for a Linux Kernel Development Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Linux Kernel, RTOS, HAL/driver development, and embedded C/C++, along with experience working on ARM/RISC-V platforms and automotive development standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, customize, and optimize Linux Kernel and RTOS-based embedded software for automotive platforms.
- Design and develop HAL, device drivers, BSP, and middleware components.
- Work on ARM and RISC-V based embedded platforms.
- Develop and debug IPC, GIC, and low-level system components.
- Perform kernel, driver, and system-level debugging and troubleshooting.
- Analyze system performance, memory, and hardware/software interactions.
- Integrate and validate BSP, drivers, middleware, and operating system components.
- Collaborate with hardware, system, application, and testing teams to resolve integration issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and software development standards.
- Maintain source code and development workflows using Git.
- Ensure compliance with automotive software development and functional safety processes.
- Contribute to ASPICE and ISO 26262 activities and documentation.
- Support system integration, testing, and production-quality software delivery.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 5-8 years of experience in Embedded Software / Linux Kernel Development, preferably in the automotive domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux Kernel and RTOS.
- Experience in HAL, BSP, and device driver development.
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++.
- Experience with ARM and/or RISC-V architectures.
- Good understanding of IPC and GIC concepts.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills at kernel, driver, and system levels.
- Hands-on experience with Git and software development workflows.
- Good understanding of ASPICE and ISO 26262 processes.
- Experience developing software for automotive embedded systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred :
- Experience with Linux kernel subsystems and kernel customization.
- Exposure to automotive SoCs, BSP bring-up, bootloaders, or embedded middleware.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, or Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with debugging tools such as GDB and JTAG.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
