Role Overview :
We are looking for a skilled Linux Device Driver (LDD) Developer with strong kernel-level expertise to design, develop, and optimize embedded software solutions. In this role, you will work closely with hardware and application layers to build scalable drivers, resolve complex kernel issues, and contribute to high-performance embedded platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain Linux Device Drivers and subsystem modifications.
- Port and configure drivers for various peripherals and interfaces including UFS, Filesystem, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, UART, and Display.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex kernel crashes, panics, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software stacks into Android Linux Kernel and embedded platforms.
- Work extensively with open-source development methodologies, upstreaming, and community-driven patches.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience : 3 to 8 years of hands-on professional experience in embedded Linux development.
- Core Expertise : Minimum 3+ years of robust Linux Kernel expertise (Infotainment domain experience is strongly preferred).
- Technical Proficiency : Deep working knowledge of Linux Kernel architecture, Drivers, and Linux Embedded Systems.
- Advanced Concepts : Strong understanding of Linux internals, Real-Time Linux, RT porting, and Android Linux Kernel internals.
- Debugging : Proven track record in analyzing and fixing low-level kernel crashes and hardware-software integration challenges.
