Lead Security Solution Architect - Banking

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Lead Security Solution Architect with strong expertise in enterprise security architecture and banking/open-finance security.

The role will focus on defining and reviewing secure architectures across mobile applications, APIs, network infrastructure and third-party/client-built solutions.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Zero Trust, network segmentation, Open Banking/API security, PKI, mobile application security, RASP, attestation and WAF architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) covering mobile security, PKI segregation, firewall/WAF clustering and traffic segregation.

- Define security requirements, controls and acceptance criteria for client-delivered Splunk, OBS and carrier solutions.

- Develop interface and security specifications for client-built backend APIs covering telemetry, attestation and risk scoring.

- Lead the evaluation and recommendation of RASP and Mobile Threat Defence vendors.

- Chair fortnightly Design Authority and Security Design Review meetings.

- Assess residual security risks and prepare residual-risk statements for formal acceptance.

- Ensure dependencies across multiple change requests (CRs) are identified and addressed coherently from a security architecture perspective.

- Support threat modelling activities and define security testing scope in collaboration with the Test Lead.

- Review third-party and client-built solutions for compliance with enterprise security architecture and security standards.

- Provide architectural guidance to engineering and delivery teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

Essential Skills :

- Strong expertise in Enterprise Security Architecture.

- Hands-on knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and network segmentation.

- Strong understanding of Open Banking / Open Finance API security.

- Experience with mTLS, OAuth 2.0 and FAPI standards.

- Strong knowledge of PKI architecture and security controls.

- Experience in Mobile Application Security, including RASP and mobile attestation.

- Strong understanding of WAF architecture, firewall clustering and traffic segregation.

- Experience conducting security design reviews for third-party and client-built solutions.

- Strong understanding of security risk assessment and residual-risk management.

- Experience with threat modelling and security testing methodologies.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working in Banking, Financial Services or FinTech environments.

- Knowledge of regulatory and security requirements relevant to Open Banking/Open Finance.

- Experience with Splunk and enterprise security monitoring solutions.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Experience leading architecture/design review forums and working with multiple technology and delivery teams.
