About the Role :
Responsible for establishing, owning, and driving the comprehensive master data governance framework across our client global manufacturing operations. You are the single point of accountability for data quality, consistency, and compliance across critical domainsincluding Material/Item Master, Bill of Materials (BOM), Vendor/Supplier Master, Routing, and Asset/Equipment registers.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Governance & Compliance Framework :
- Define and enforce the enterprise-wide MDM strategy, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and data governance models.
- Establish a RACI matrix detailing data ownership and stewardship across plant operations and corporate functions.
- Lead the Data Governance Council to review data quality metrics, align stakeholders, and address policy escalations.
- Ensure conformity of technical and material specifications with global engineering standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, DIN, BS).
2. Data Operations & Lifecycle Management :
- Manage end-to-end data lifecycles including the creation, modification, validation, classification, obsolescence, and archiving of data.
- Own operational excellence for BOMs, routing, and Master Equipment Lists (MEL).
- Drive data cleansing initiatives, duplication controls, mass updates, and critical migration activities during ERP upgrades.
- Supervise standard categorization and criticality analysis for MRO spares.
3. Quality Monitoring & System Integration :
- Build and monitor dashboards for tracking Master Data Quality KPIs, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and system health metrics.
- Orchestrate cross-system alignment across PLM, ERP (such as SAP S/4HANA), and MES ecosystems.
- Partner with IT Solution Architects to optimize automated workflows, reducing manual entry errors.
4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management :
- Manage and mentor a dedicated team of MDM specialists, analysts, and data stewards.
- Foster close collaboration with global Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Plant Operations leaders.
- Champion data literacy and administer ongoing training programs regarding standard data practices.
Qualification And Experience :
- Bachelors or masters degree in information technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with 5 to 7 years in data management in a Manufacturing Industry, with 3+ years in a leadership or governance role.
- Certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) are highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with enterprise MDM platforms (e.g., Riversand, Reltio, Informatica, or Stibo Systems), SQL, and ERP/CRM ecosystems (SAP/Salesforce).
- Strong understanding of digital tools such as PIM, DAM, Oracle ERP, C2G.
