Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Developer with strong fundamentals in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices to join a high-performing engineering team at Schneider Electric. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications while leading technical discussions and ensuring best practices across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 17 / Java 21, Spring, and Spring Boot

- Build and manage Microservices-based architectures with a focus on scalability and performance

- Develop and consume RESTful APIs

- Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices in configuration management and refactoring

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment

- Participate in architectural discussions related to application, data, and infrastructure design

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective solutions within deadlines

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance

Mandatory Skills & Experience ;

- Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 17 / Java 21)

- 6+ years of experience in Spring Boot & Microservices

- Hands-on experience with :

• Spring MVC, Spring Data
• REST APIs
• Maven, JUnit 5
• Jakarta EE

Strong knowledge of :

• Object-Oriented Programming
• Design Patterns
• Data Structures & Algorithms

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)

- Hands-on experience with Linux environments and Jenkins pipelines

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good to Have Skills :

- Knowledge of Quarkus and Reactive Programming

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

- Exposure to Git, SonarQube, JIRA

- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)

- Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or related technologies

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or a related field
