Our client is a top-tier Algorithmic Trading firm trading across Indian and global exchanges. As they scale their trading operations, they are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to own and manage the entire data lifecycle powering research, backtesting, and live trading.

Location : Gurugram

This is a mission-critical role central to the reliability and performance of their trading ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for tick data, OHLC, fundamentals, and alternative datasets

- Detect and resolve data anomalies including stale ticks, bad prints, missing data, timestamp issues, and feed inconsistencies

- Build automated QA, validation, and reconciliation workflows

- Manage and optimize data storage layers (historical, real-time, distributed data stores)

- Integrate and manage market data feeds from Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, Tick data providers, NSE/BSE, and global exchanges

- Lead and mentor a small team of data engineers/analysts

- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive engineering excellence across data systems

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- 712 years of experience in market data engineering, financial data operations, or related domains

- Strong understanding of tick data, corporate actions, exchange market microstructure, and vendor feed behaviours

- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, distributed databases, and modern ETL frameworks

- Experience in HFT/MFT environments is highly preferred

- Ability to build reliable, low-latency data pipelines for quantitative research and trading
