Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale data engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical leadership experience, a strong background in building modern data platforms, and the ability to mentor engineering teams while driving end-to-end project execution.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions on GCP.

- Architect and build robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data integration solutions.

- Drive solution design and ensure adherence to best practices for performance, scalability, and security.

- Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural guidance to the data engineering team.

- Mentor and coach engineers to enhance technical capabilities and ensure successful project delivery.

- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- Establish data engineering standards, governance, and best practices across projects.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data engineering technologies.

- Proven experience leading data engineering teams and technical initiatives.

- Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data pipelines and data platforms.

- Ability to drive solution architecture, technical design, and project execution.

- Experience mentoring engineers and managing technical deliverables.

- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data integration concepts.

- Experience working directly with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, and related technologies.

- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.

- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Agile methodologies.

- Knowledge of data governance, security, and cloud architecture best practices.
