Role Summary :

We are seeking a high-caliber Lead Data Analyst to spearhead our data-driven decision-making processes in Bangalore. In this leadership role, you will act as a "Technical Insights Strategist," responsible for building robust data models, optimizing complex database objects, and leading a team of 4-5 analysts. You will bridge the gap between Core Engineering and business functions like Finance and Operations to resolve time-sensitive operational issues. The ideal candidate is a SQL Power User with a deep understanding of data warehousing and a proven track record of delivering actionable KPIs in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities :

- Data Engineering & Pipeline Management : Build and maintain large-scale data models and pipelines, applying expert-level knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Wrangling to ensure high data quality and availability.

- Advanced SQL Development : Develop and maintain sophisticated MySQL/SQL objects, including Stored Procedures, Indexes, Views, and Common Table Expressions (CTEs) to support complex business logic.

- Performance Engineering : Conduct deep-dive Performance Tuning on various database objects to minimize query latency and optimize system resource utilization.

- Team Leadership & Mentorship : Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 45 data analysts, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and alignment with organizational goals.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with stakeholders across Core Engineering, Product, Finance, and Operations to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

- BI & KPI Orchestration : Design, develop, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight to track business health.

- Ad-hoc Business Analysis : Perform rapid, high-impact ad-hoc analysis to solve time-sensitive operational issues and build data-backed business cases for senior leadership.

- Process Optimization : Identify bottlenecks in data workflows and implement automated solutions, leveraging Python to streamline repetitive data tasks.

- Startup Agility : Navigate a fast-paced environment by working independently and managing multiple priorities without compromising on data integrity or delivery timelines.

Technical Requirements :

- SQL Mastery : 7+ years of expertise in SQL/MySQL development, specifically with CTEs, Stored Procedures, and Indexing.

- Data Architecture : Strong foundation in Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

- BI Proficiency : Advanced hands-on experience with modern BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

- Programming : Foundational exposure to Python for data manipulation and automation.

- Performance Tuning : Proven ability to optimize complex queries and improve database performance.

Preferred Skills :

- Domain Expertise : Prior experience in E-commerce Supply Chain operations and logistics data.

- Statistical Analysis : Knowledge of statistical modeling to enhance predictive analytics capabilities.

- Big Data Exposure : Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
