Role : Network Support Engineer - L2

Job Summary :

We are looking for an L2 Network Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Juniper switching. The role will be responsible for network monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, and resolution of day-to-day Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide L2 support for Juniper EX Series switches.

- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, and LACP.

- Support Virtual Chassis configurations and basic routing.

- Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity issues.

- Perform switch configuration changes, software upgrades, patching, and hardware replacements.

- Monitor network performance and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.

- Analyze logs and troubleshoot interface, connectivity, and switching issues.

- Coordinate with L3 teams and vendors for complex incidents.

- Maintain network documentation, incident records, and operational procedures.

Secondary Skills - Any One Preferred :

1. FortiGate / Fortinet SD-WAN :

- Basic knowledge of FortiGate, SD-WAN, IPSec/SSL VPN, routing, NAT, and security policies.

- Exposure to FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer is an advantage.

2. Aruba Wireless :

- Basic knowledge of Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba Central, and Access Points.

- Understanding of SSIDs, RF management, roaming, and ClearPass/RADIUS authentication.

Must-Have Skills :

- 4 to 6 years of experience in Network Support / Network Operations.

- Strong hands-on experience with Juniper EX Series switches.

- Good knowledge of Junos OS, VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, and LACP.

- Knowledge of Virtual Chassis and static/dynamic routing.

- Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.

- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and network monitoring.

- Good communication and incident-management skills.
