L2 Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Network Engineer with deep expertise in BGP and OSPF routing, along with strong experience in network security, IPAM/DNS (Infoblox), and Cisco ACI environments. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in complex, large-scale enterprise networks and handling both implementation and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise networks with strong focus on BGP and OSPF routing protocols

- Manage and optimize Layer 2 & Layer 3 network infrastructure

- Deploy and maintain Cisco ACI fabric, including tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, and contracts

- Configure and manage network firewalls (policy creation, NAT, VPNs, security rules)

- Administer Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) solutions

- Perform network migrations, upgrades, and separation activities in enterprise environments

- Troubleshoot complex network issues across routing, switching, security, and application layers

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design, implementation, and incident resolution

- Automate routine network tasks using Python/Ansible (good to have)

- Maintain proper documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience in BGP and OSPF (mandatory)

- Deep understanding of Routing & Switching (L2/L3 concepts)

- Experience with Cisco ACI (design + operations)

- Strong exposure to firewalls (Palo Alto / Fortinet / Cisco ASA / Check Point)

- Experience with Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)

- Knowledge of VPN technologies (IPSec, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN)

- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Good to Have :

- Automation skills using Python / Ansible

- Exposure to Cloud networking (AWS / Azure)

- Experience with load balancers (F5 / NetScaler)

- Certifications like CCNP / CCIE
