Kissht - Senior Data Analyst - SQL/ETL

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our data-driven organization. This role demands a strong command of data extraction, wrangling, and visualization, as well as the ability to drive strategic insights through complex data models. The ideal candidate will be a data storyteller who thrives on solving complex business problems and proactively supports cross-functional teams in making informed, data-backed decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Extract, clean, transform, and analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.

- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, KPIs, and visualizations using Tableau (or similar BI tools) to support ongoing business monitoring and reporting.

- Design and implement robust data pipelines and ETL workflows to automate reporting and improve data accessibility.

- Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis (EDA) and statistical modeling to identify patterns, detect anomalies, and generate actionable insights.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that drive decision-making.

- Lead customer segmentation, behavioral analysis, retention modeling, and risk scoring using advanced analytics techniques.

- Participate in the development and evaluation of AI/ML models and contribute to the integration of data-driven features in products.

- Translate complex technical findings into clear, concise business narratives and data stories for leadership and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Educational Background :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

Technical Expertise :

- Programming : Advanced proficiency in Python, with demonstrated experience in data manipulation, EDA, and statistical modeling using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, and scikit-learn.

- SQL : Expert-level proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation across large relational databases.

- Data Visualization : Strong hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools for creating dashboards and visual narratives.

- Data Modeling : Familiarity with dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization techniques, and metadata-driven design principles.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with machine learning techniques such as classification, clustering, regression, or recommendation systems.

- Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch is a strong plus.

- Understanding of cloud-based data ecosystems (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
