We are looking for an experienced Java WMS Developer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong Java/Spring Boot expertise with a clear understanding of logistics and warehouse operations to drive business-critical integrations and system performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based WMS applications with focus on modules like inbound, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and cycle counting
- Configure and customize WMS platforms (e.g. Blue Yonder, Manhattan, proprietary systems) to align with warehouse operations
- Build REST APIs and integration layers connecting WMS to ERP, TMS, automation hardware (RF devices, barcode scanners), and external systems using Kafka, flat files, or REST
- Optimize distributed system performance through profiling, tuning, and efficient data handling (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka)
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code; conduct unit testing, code reviews, and support continuous integration pipelines
- Collaborate with product, QA, logistics, and business teams in Agile/Scrum environments to gather requirements and deliver features
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve functional defects, performance issues, and configuration challenges

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 58 years of professional software development experience, preferably in logistics or WMS domains (TMS, Freight forwarding, TOS)
- Strong Java experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks
- Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and distributed systems design
- Hands-on worked experience with warehouse management systems and performance tuning within distributed environments
- Competence across REST APIs, PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka or equivalent messaging/event tools
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and regular sprint cadence
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with stakeholders across teams
Preferred/Nice-to-Have :
- Experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) WMS, Manhattan SCALE/WMOS, or other enterprise WMS frameworks
- Knowledge of MOCA, RF forms, voice integration, layout utilities (e.g. Page Builder, Advantage Architect), or groovy scripting
- Familiarity with reporting tools like Jasper, SSRS, or custom WMS reporting workflows
- Exposure to cloud technologies, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and microservices architecture
- Certifications in WMS platforms or supply chain domains (e.g. Certified Manhattan WMS, Supply Chain Professional)
