Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, AWS Cloud, Angular, Microservices, and Cloud-Native Application Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while leveraging modern cloud technologies and distributed architectures. The role requires hands-on experience with AWS services, containerization, frontend development, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build scalable and resilient microservices-based solutions following cloud-native architecture principles.

- Develop responsive and high-performance user interfaces using Angular.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise applications.

- Develop and support serverless applications using AWS Lambda and other AWS services.

- Integrate applications with cloud services, databases, messaging systems, and third-party platforms.

- Implement event-driven and message-based architectures using Kafka, MQ, SQS, SNS, or similar technologies.

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

- Create and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated test suites.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

- Implement security best practices for cloud and application environments.

- Work closely with DevOps teams to support cloud deployments and infrastructure automation.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.

- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve application quality and development efficiency.

Required Skillsets:

- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+, preferably Java 17 or higher.

- Expertise in Spring Boot, Core Spring, and Microservices Architecture.

- Strong knowledge of Java concurrent programming and multithreading.

- Experience implementing software design patterns and enterprise architecture principles.

- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services.

- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless application development.

- Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, CodeBuild, KMS, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, Security Groups, and Application Load Balancers.

- Strong frontend development experience using Angular.

- Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.

- Expertise in Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.

- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.

- Strong database experience with Sybase and/or DB2.

- Expertise in SQL query optimization, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.

- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar technologies.

- Experience with JUnit, integration testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

- Understanding of cloud security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skillsets:

- Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.

- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools.

- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.

- Experience with API security and OAuth 2.0 implementations.

- Exposure to financial services, banking, insurance, or large-scale enterprise applications.

- Understanding of performance engineering and scalability best practices.

- Experience with cloud migration and modernization projects.

- Familiarity with automated quality assurance and performance testing frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 8+ years of software development experience.

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java development.

- Minimum 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud technologies.

- Minimum 5+ years of experience with Angular development.

- AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect, or related certification is preferred.

- Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud-native applications in complex environments
