We are seeking an experienced Java Manager to lead and manage a team of Java developers in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-quality enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Java with people management, project delivery, and stakeholder management skills to ensure successful execution of business-critical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Leadership :
- Lead architecture, design, and development of Java-based applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Java development teams.
- Review code, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices.
- Drive adoption of Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and modern Java frameworks.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Team & People Management :
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Java developers.
- Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning.
- Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.
Project & Delivery Management :
- Own end-to-end project delivery including planning, estimation, execution, and release.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery timelines.
Stakeholder & Client Management :
- Act as a key technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide regular status updates, technical insights, and risk assessments.
- Support client discussions, solution proposals, and technical presentations.
Quality, Security & Best Practices :
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and coding standards.
- Drive testing strategies including unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Promote CI/CD, automation, and DevOps best practices.
- Support production releases and resolve critical issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Skills :
- Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework.
- Experience with Microservices Architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance tuning.
Management & Soft Skills :
- Proven experience in leading and managing development teams.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work and people management.
- Strong stakeholder and client management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in enterprise or product-based environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Exposure to security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
- Java or cloud certifications are a plus.
- Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments
