Backend Developer

Role Overview :

We are looking for a hands-on Java Backend Developer with strong fundamentals in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems.

The role requires solid working exposure to Linux environments and REST API development, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build, expose, and consume RESTful APIs for integration with internal systems and third-party applications.

- Design and implement microservices, ensuring loose coupling, scalability, and fault tolerance.

- Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot applications in Linux-based environments.

- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases for data modeling, queries, and performance tuning.

- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to secure coding and design best practices.

- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams across the SDLC to deliver features on schedule.

- Debug and resolve production issues, including performance bottlenecks and defects.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline activities and containerized deployments where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Core Java and object-oriented design.

- Strong working experience with the Spring / Spring Boot framework.

- Practical experience designing and building Microservices-based architectures.

- Proven experience developing and consuming REST APIs.

- Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line troubleshooting.

- Experience with relational databases (MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL) including SQL and query optimization.

- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, and version control using Git.

- Understanding of data structures, multithreading, and exception handling in Java.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.

Educational Qualification :

- B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
