Position : Java Microservices Developer - KAFKA

Location : Hybrid in Pune, India

Duration : 6+ Months (Contract)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java Microservices Developer with a strong background in Apache Kafka to join our team on a 6+ month contract. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance microservices. This role is crucial for building scalable, event-driven architectures and requires a deep understanding of core Java principles, the Spring Boot framework, and proficiency in Kafka for building robust messaging and data streaming solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Microservices Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework.

- Kafka Implementation: Implement and manage event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka. This includes designing topics, producers, and consumers to ensure reliable and efficient data streaming.

- API Development: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for communication between different microservices and with external systems.

- Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code. You will be responsible for participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices in microservices development.

- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire application stack. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of the microservices in a production environment.

- Collaboration: Work in a collaborative, agile environment with other developers, product managers, and operations teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven experience in Java development.

- Strong, hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework.

- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.

- Expertise in Apache Kafka, including developing Kafka producers, consumers, and stream processing applications.

- Experience with RESTful API development.

- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with other messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
