Java API Engineer - Microservices Architecture

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and deploy scalable and secure APIs using Java for cloud-native applications.

- Develop and manage Docker-containerized applications for cloud deployment.

- Work with RESTful and SOAP-based web services, ensuring robust integration between systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and implement best practices.

- Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability in cloud-based environments.

- Provide technical documentation and support for deployed services.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven expertise in building APIs for cloud environments.

- Experience with Docker containerization.

- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with AWS or Azure is also acceptable.

- Strong understanding of REST and SOAP web services.

- Experience with cloud-native development, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices is a plus.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to monitoring tools and log management (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
