Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist with strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering. The role will involve designing, developing, and supporting data engineering solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. The candidate will work on data ingestion, transformation, integration, data modelling, and data platform development. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and implement scalable and reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop data pipelines and data engineering solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

- Build and manage data workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

- Work with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse for data storage and processing.

- Develop data transformation and processing solutions using PySpark/Spark, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric Notebooks.

- Design and implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers using Medallion Architecture.

- Develop and maintain data models to support reporting, analytics, and business requirements.

- Build integrations with APIs, SaaS platforms, and other data sources using Python and Azure services.

- Work with SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.

- Work with Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing, governance, lineage, and discovery.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD and version-control practices for data engineering solutions.

- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot issues related to data quality, integration, performance, and reliability.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Contribute to improving data engineering processes, automation, performance, and overall data platform architecture.

Candidate Profile / Required Skills :

- 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Azure Data Engineering, or a similar role.

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.

- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).

- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, particularly Lakehouse and Warehouse.

- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and data modelling.

- Hands-on experience with PySpark/Spark.

- Experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric Notebooks.

- Good understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, and modern data architecture.

- Experience working with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).

- Experience integrating data through APIs and SaaS platforms.

- Exposure to Microsoft Purview and data governance.

- Knowledge of CI/CD, DataOps, monitoring, and version control.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

We are looking for a hands-on data engineering professional who can understand business requirements, design appropriate data solutions, and work independently on implementation and troubleshooting. Candidates with strong practical experience across the Azure Data Engineering and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem will be preferred.
