IT Audit Specialist
Role Overview :
As an IT Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on IT audits across the organization. You will collaborate with various teams, including IT, security, and business units, to assess the effectiveness of IT controls and identify areas for improvement.
Your work will directly contribute to strengthening the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and safeguarding sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and execute IT audits to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls (ITGC) and application controls.
- Assess the organization's cybersecurity framework and identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
- Conduct risk assessments to determine the scope and focus of IT audits.
- Develop audit programs and procedures to ensure comprehensive coverage of key IT areas.
- Evaluate IT systems and infrastructure to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
- Prepare audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and management's responses.
- Communicate audit results to stakeholders, including senior management, and track the implementation of corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT audit, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with external auditors to support their reviews and assessments.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute IT audits, including risk assessments, control evaluations, and report writing.
- Proven expertise in assessing IT general controls (ITGC), application controls, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and data security principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate IT risks and controls.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5- 10 years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, or a related field.
