Project/Team Overview :

Our client is one of the leading meal kit companies, providing 111 million meals to 4.2 million households worldwide in 14 countries across 3 continents.

The company tackles a wide range of complex challenges from procurement platforms and conversion rate optimization to live pricing tools, payment services, and add-on upselling features.

This position is part of a team with a mission to maximize retention of active customers.

The division helps customers build long-term habits with our products by enabling them to manage subscriptions, reorder what they love, and get timely support when something goes wrong.

Backend Engineers take end-to-end development and operational ownership of the platform that supports millions of users globally, ensuring the best experience for both customers and internal teams.

What you will do :

- Take ownership of the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of the microservices you build, applying strong DevOps practices.

- Contribute actively as a solution-oriented member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.

- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Frontend Engineers, Designers, and Business Intelligence teams.

- Build a deep understanding of the core platform and architecture, and act as a trusted technical partner across teams.

- Coach and mentor engineers, and act as an ambassador for engineering best practices and scalable software solutions.

- Work with modern technologies such as Golang, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

Key Requirements :

Were looking for an engineer who is hands-on, reliable in production environments, and confident working in modern backend ecosystems.

Core technical requirements :

- Strong backend experience with monolithic, microservices, and distributed event-driven architectures.

- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years of hands-on GoLang experience.

- Experience working with Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

- Proven experience implementing true CI/CD practices.

- Practical experience with TDD / BDD / DDD and distributed architectural patterns.

- Experience with event-driven systems using RabbitMQ and/or Kafka.

- Strong experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch (search + relational).

Nice to have :

- Client backend integration experience using GraphQL (or willingness to learn).

- Familiarity with e-commerce and/or subscription-based business models.

- Experience with Kotlin and/or PHP.
