About the Role :
We are looking for a skilled Industrial Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial automation, machine assembly, and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, commissioning, and supporting automation solutions for manufacturing systems and test equipment. This role requires close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, efficient, and innovative automation solutions while ensuring high levels of machine performance, reliability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Participate in technical specification discussions with stakeholders to understand automation requirements and define system architecture.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical design teams to select appropriate automation products and technologies.
- Contribute to machine design reviews and propose improvements for performance, reliability, cycle time, and maintainability.
- Develop and program PLC, HMI, SCADA, NI LabVIEW, and PC-based automation solutions as per technical specifications.
- Debug, test, and validate automation programs before deployment.
- Lead machine and test bench qualification activities, ensuring compliance with operational requirements.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in daily project reviews, progress monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare machine operation manuals, maintenance instructions, and technical documentation.
- Install, commission, and validate machines at manufacturing plants.
- Conduct production trials and provide technical support during machine ramp-up phases.
- Train production, maintenance, and engineering teams on machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Provide remote and on-site service support to resolve automation-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with machine safety standards, risk assessments, and poka-yoke requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 4-7+ years of experience in Industrial Automation within manufacturing environments.
- Experience in machine building, automobile, auto ancillary, switchgear, or discrete manufacturing industries.
- Strong expertise in :
1. PLC Programming
2. HMI Development
3. SCADA Systems
4. Analog and Digital I/O Modules
5. Industrial Automation Architecture
- Hands-on experience with Schneider Electric PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages including :
1. Ladder Logic
2. Sequential Function Chart (SFC)
3. Structured Text
- Experience with industrial automation components including :
1. Robotics
