IndiaNIC - Python Developer - Django/PostgreSQL

Key Responsibilities :

- Own and contribute to core product architecture and technical decision-making

- Design and build scalable backend systems using Python & Django

- Lead API orchestration across multiple internal and external systems (GDS, third-party APIs, AI services)

- Design efficient data models and workflows using PostgreSQL

- Work on agentic AI workflows, LLM-powered services, and orchestration layers

- Implement and optimise RAG / GraphRAG pipelines

- Collaborate with the frontend team; contribute hands-on using ReactJS when needed

- Use modern AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and code quality

- Write clean, testable, production-grade code

- Take ownership of features from idea ? implementation, ? deployment

- Communicate clearly with product, business, and engineering stakeholders

Must-Have Skills & Experience :

4+ years of experience in Python-based product development

Strong hands-on experience with :

- Python

- Django / Django Rest Framework

- PostgreSQL

- REST & async APIs

- Proven experience in API orchestration and system integration

- Prior exposure to core product architecture (not just feature development)

- Solid understanding of LLMs, agentic AI systems, and AI pipelines

Experience with :

- LangChain

- RAG & GraphRAG architectures

- Vector databases and embeddings

- Comfortable using AI coding tools such as :

1. Cursor

2. Claude CLI

3. Antigravity (or similar)

- Working knowledge of ReactJS and full-stack workflows

- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

- Mindset & Work Style (Very Important)

- Product thinker, not task executor

- Self-driven does not require micromanagement

- Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset

- Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements

- Takes accountability and ownership of outcomes

- Thinks long-term scalability, not short-term hacks

Good to Have (Bonus) :

- Experience in travel tech, GDS, NDC, or airline systems

- Experience designing agent-based systems

- Exposure to event-driven or async architectures

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)

- Startup or early-stage product experience
