Role Overview:
As an Identity Engineer, you will serve as a critical architect in securing our digital perimeter, managing the lifecycle of identities, and ensuring seamless access governance across our enterprise ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional security teams, IT infrastructure leads, and business stakeholders to design and deploy robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks. By bridging the gap between complex security requirements and user experience, you will directly influence the organizations security posture, ensuring that our digital assets remain protected while enabling frictionless productivity for our global workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement comprehensive Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solutions to streamline user lifecycle management and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
- Configure and manage Entra ID and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) environments to enforce the principle of least privilege and mitigate risks associated with elevated access.
- Develop custom integrations and automation scripts using Java to extend the functionality of IAM platforms, ensuring they align with unique business workflows.
- Lead the design and maintenance of secure authentication protocols, ensuring that all identity systems adhere strictly to PCI-DSS standards to protect sensitive financial data.
- Oversee the integration of network identity components, including GPON-based infrastructure, to ensure consistent access control across both physical and cloud-based network layers.
- Partner with internal audit and compliance teams to conduct regular access reviews and remediation, providing evidence-based assurance for regulatory reporting.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying enterprise-grade IAM solutions, with a deep understanding of Entra ID, PIM, and modern identity governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable Java code for identity automation and API-based integrations, effectively bridging technical gaps in legacy and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, specifically PCI-DSS, with the ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable technical configurations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security risks and technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a hybrid environment in Bangalore, and capable of mentoring junior engineers while driving technical excellence across the team.
- A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, complemented by a track record of managing large-scale identity projects within a 7 - 14-year professional tenure.
