Overview :

The Network Engineer is a core member of the Network Operations team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing HealthEdge's enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises data centers, cloud environments, and remote access platforms.

Technical Execution & Operations :

- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewall, and load-balancing infrastructure.

- Monitor network performance (SolarWinds, Datadog, ThousandEyes) and proactively resolve issues.

- Implement network security controls including firewall rule sets, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and zero-trust architecture.

- Design and manage AWS network infrastructure including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Route 53.

Automation & Continuous Improvement :

- Develop automation scripts and IaC (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Python) to improve monitoring and deployment workflows.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent.

- 5+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering or operations experience.

- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).

- Experience with enterprise firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD).

- Demonstrated AWS networking expertise.

- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and SD-WAN technologies.

- Hands-on experience with IaC and automation tools.
