We are seeking an accomplished Head of IT for our client, the strongest financial institution of India.

This role will drive the technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations for a dynamic organization.

This position reports to senior management and involves a blend of individual contribution (30%) and team leadership (70%).

Location : Navi Mumbai (Preference for candidates based in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai or those able to relocate immediately)

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the IT function, overseeing infrastructure, cloud operations, and the Center of Excellence (COE).

- Evaluate organizational technology needs and recommend upgrades.

- Manage IT assets, including hardware and software procurement and lifecycle.

- Ensure compliance with ISMS security standards and maintain ISO 27001 certification.

- Oversee IT infrastructure for both development and production environments, including network support, security operations, and capacity planning.

- Define and execute short- and long-term IT implementation goals.

- Safeguard sensitive data, systems, and applications from external threats.

- Prepare and manage budgets for current and future IT systems.

- Guide and mentor IT teams, collaborating with business units and senior leadership to ensure efficient operation of critical systems.

- Develop and implement data security and information management policies to mitigate cybersecurity risks.

- Manage vendors and programs for IT infrastructure projects and rollouts.

- Adhere to ISMS best practices, including incident, change, and problem management.

- Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's in Engineering (preferably Computer Science/Electronics & Communication); MBA in Systems or equivalent is desirable.

- 20- 22 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure, including leadership of teams with 25 or more members.

- Hands-on expertise in :

1. Server management (Kubernetes, DevOps)

2. Red Hat virtualization, clustering, and cloud platforms

3. LAN/WAN network implementation and security

4. Productivity tools (RPA, MAM/MDM, O365)

5. Infrastructure security and monitoring

- Proven ability to identify, implement, and automate AI/ML solutions across infrastructure and business operations.

- Experience with ISO 27001 implementation, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery best practices.

- Skilled in establishing secure production and non-production environments, as well as setting up cloud and virtualization infrastructure.

- Exposure to IT budgeting, public procurement, and product implementation.

- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Industry Background : Technology, ITES, Shared Services, or Banking sectors.
