Role Overview :
As the Head of India Engineering & Operations, you will be responsible for building and scaling the India organization while serving as the senior-most technical and operational leader in the region. You will work closely with the CEO and global leadership team to translate company vision into execution, build engineering capability, establish processes, attract top talent, and create a culture of ownership and innovation.
This role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between architecture discussions, customer conversations, hiring decisions, delivery reviews, organizational planning, and strategic business discussions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide technical leadership across ASIC, FPGA, SoC, and related semiconductor development initiatives.
- Review architecture, design, verification, implementation, and product execution strategies.
- Guide technical teams in solving complex engineering challenges.
- Establish engineering best practices, development methodologies, and quality standards.
- Build and scale the India engineering organization from zero to a high-performing R&D center.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and technical teams.
- Create a strong culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and innovation.
- Serve as the primary leadership representative for the India organization.
- Partner directly with the CEO on strategic planning and execution.
- Participate in organizational planning, budgeting, hiring strategies, and growth initiatives.
- Establish operational processes and execution frameworks that enable scale.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, customers, and leadership teams.
- Own delivery commitments, execution timelines, and organizational performance.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
We are looking for a builder rather than a caretaker. The ideal candidate combines deep semiconductor expertise with proven leadership experience and a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Required Experience :
- 15+ years of experience in semiconductor product development.
- Strong background in ASIC, FPGA, SoC, VLSI, Design, Verification, Architecture, or related domains.
- Experience leading large engineering programs and cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience managing engineering managers, architects, and senior technical leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution in fast-paced environments.
