Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned technology leader to join our executive team as Head / Deputy CTO in Mumbai. In this pivotal role, you will define the overarching technical vision, steering the architecture and engineering strategy to build scalable, high-performance platforms.

You will work closely with the CEO, product leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering output with aggressive business growth targets. By fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence, you will directly influence the reliability of our services, the velocity of our product delivery, and the ultimate satisfaction of our global customer base.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the transition to robust microservices-based ecosystems to ensure high availability and seamless scalability for our enterprise clients.

- Drive the adoption of cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational overhead.

- Champion a DevOps and SRE-first culture, implementing automated CI/CD pipelines and rigorous monitoring to minimize downtime and enhance system resilience.

- Integrate advanced Machine Learning models into core product offerings to provide data-driven value and competitive differentiation for our users.

- Lead large-scale engineering teams in the development of high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring, ensuring code quality and architectural integrity.

- Establish comprehensive security frameworks and compliance protocols to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks across all digital touchpoints.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing complex, distributed systems using Java, Spring, and microservices architecture at an enterprise scale.

- Proven ability to lead and mentor large, high-performing engineering organizations, fostering a collaborative environment that bridges the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

- Deep technical proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, specifically AWS and Kubernetes, with a focus on cost-optimization and performance tuning.

- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps and secure, scalable solutions.

- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical vision to non-technical board members and investors while maintaining hands-on credibility with engineering leads.

- A minimum of 16 - 22 years of progressive experience in software engineering and technology leadership, preferably within high-growth product environments.

- Adaptability to a hybrid work model, with the ability to drive high-impact initiatives across our Mumbai and Hyderabad offices.
