As part of this transformation, the organization is looking to hire a Head of Artificial Intelligence to build and scale enterprise-wide AI capabilities and drive AI-led innovation across business functions.

Role Overview :

The Head of Artificial Intelligence will define and execute the organization's enterprise AI strategy, driving adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and intelligent automation across customer, operations, risk, compliance, and internal functions.

This leader will establish the AI Centre of Excellence (CoE), build scalable AI platforms and governance frameworks, lead high-performing AI engineering and data science teams, and ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance and responsible AI standards.

The role requires a hands-on technology leader who can combine deep AI expertise with strategic vision and stakeholder management to accelerate the organization's digital transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities :

- Formulate and execute a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with the long-term digital vision of the organization to ensure sustainable market leadership.

- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact AI and Data Analytics, ensuring seamless integration into existing banking workflows to drive measurable ROI.

- Lead the adoption of Gen AI Strategy across business units to automate complex processes, enhance fraud detection capabilities, and improve customer service delivery.

- Cultivate a high-performance culture by mentoring cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers, fostering innovation while maintaining rigorous data governance standards.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to translate complex technical insights into actionable business intelligence, facilitating data-driven decision-making at the highest levels of the firm.

Required Skillset :

- 12- 18 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or AI Engineering, with at least 4 years leading enterprise AI teams.

- Proven experience building and scaling AI platforms and delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions.

- Strong expertise in Python, Machine Learning frameworks, Deep Learning, LLMs, and Generative AI technologies.

- Experience designing and deploying AI solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Hands-on experience with MLOps, LLMOps, model deployment, monitoring, and AI platform engineering.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data engineering, cloud architecture, APIs, and scalable application design.

- Experience implementing Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise copilots, or intelligent automation platforms is highly preferred.

- Strong understanding of AI governance, model explainability, security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives.

Preferred Background :

Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Insurance, or other highly regulated industries will be preferred. Candidates from leading technology companies or digital-first organizations with experience building enterprise AI products at scale will also be considered.
