Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Custom Layout Engineer to join our VLSI design team working on advanced technology nodes. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-performance semiconductor products through custom layout design, physical verification, and electrical closure activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong full-custom layout expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to drive quality deliverables in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement full-custom layouts for IPs, macros, and related circuitry using industry-standard CAD tools.

- Develop and manage sub-cells and leaf cells required for complex macro and IP construction.

- Perform chip-level integration activities, ensuring layout quality and manufacturability.

- Drive physical verification and electrical closure to meet design and reliability requirements.

- Collaborate with design, verification, and methodology teams to ensure successful project execution.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives through automation and productivity-enhancing methodologies.

- Participate in design reviews and contribute to layout best practices and process improvements.

- Expand expertise across various custom layout domains and advanced technology node challenges.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in VLSI Custom Layout Design.

- Strong hands-on expertise in full-custom layout implementation across advanced technology nodes.

- Experience in Digital, Analog, and Mixed-Signal layout design.

- Good understanding of :

i. Layout-dependent effects and electrical parameters

ii. Physical verification methodologies

iii. Electrical closure requirements

iv. Reliability and manufacturability concepts

- Proficiency with industry-standard layout and physical verification CAD tools.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to layout quality and accuracy.

- Ability to manage timelines and deliver high-quality results independently.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working on complex IPs, macros, and chip-level integration activities.

- Exposure to advanced-node semiconductor technologies.

- Knowledge of automation techniques for layout productivity improvement.

- VLSI Custom Layout certifications or specialized training will be an added advantage.

- Master's degree in Electronics or related discipline preferred.

Educational Qualifications :

- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Microelectronics, or related field.

- M.E./M.Tech in Electronics or related specialization preferred.
